Home About us About alpacas Our herd The Soft Corner

Welcome to Sanctuary's Alpaca Farm....

located in the hills of New Hampshire along the lower Connecticut River Valley.  Here we delight in shepherding the winsome alpaca.  Their health and welfare is our primary concern; therefore our farm has been growing slowly and thoughtfully over the last five years.  We will stay small, but are well prepared to serve our customers.

Our breeding goals are toward very fine, uniform, dense fleeces, with soft handle and high luster, on healthy moderately sized alpacas.  Every breeding decision considers the welfare of the alpacas involved as well as the impact it may have on future generations.

We aim for genetic diversity and have Peruvian, Chilean and Bolivian represented in our alpacas.  Breeding matches have been carefully chosen to proven lineage, accumulating in a mix on the farm of genetics from Legacy, Augusto, Vengador, 3P White Lightning, Accoyo Elite, Hemingway, Bueno and Silverado.  All are registered with ARI.

Though we concentrate on white and light colors, we're also happy when beautiful fleeces happen to come in darker shades.  Whatever the color, we are pleased that our goal of fine, soft and lustrous fleece on every alpaca in the herd is being achieved.   For tangible evidence of the quality in these fleeces, visit The Soft Corner and consider getting your hands on some of their wonderful yarns and roving.
