Home About alpacas Our herd Fiber goods On the farm

Welcome to Sanctuary's Alpaca Farm....

... located in the hills of New Hampshire along the lower Connecticut River Valley.  Sanctuary's Alpaca Farm is a small farm of about twenty huacaya alpacas, most of them white, a few of them fawn or brown.  We started in 2001 with three maiden alpacas and grew the herd up very slowly, pulling in genetics from well known proven lineages.  Our breeding goals are straightforward - to breed for healthy well conformed alpacas with breeding and nurturing vigor and fleece of excellent quality - fleece that is lustrous and soft handling with uniformity, crimp and fineness that lasts into older age - along with increased fleece weight, staple length and overall coverage.  Above all, we want our alpacas to live healthy and contented lives.

Because I love working with the alpacas' fiber, our focus has turned toward the handcrafting of alpaca products that are both useful and luxurious.

Visitors welcome!  Please call ahead, as the gate is often closed when the alpacas are grazing along the driveway.
